Katherine Armstrong found baseball later than most and now is representing Great Britain against some of the best teams in the world. She is currently in Taiwan at the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup, playing against some of the best teams in the world. We talk about the beautiful absurdity of British baseball, volunteer-built fields, bad weather, uphill outfields, and Dolly Parton — but also about something much bigger: training through pregnancy, returning as a new mom, and finding herself mentally stronger on the other side.
And yes, you’re going to hear a baby in this one; that’s Freddy. He joined the conversation, and we just went with it and made him part of it. Freddy has been along on Katherine’s baseball journey for a while now. And when Team GB heads to Taiwan, it’s only fitting that he’s going too.
Good luck, Katherine, Freddy, and TEAM GB!
